Rates & Insurance
Current rates
I provide virtual therapy for children, teens, and young adults across New York State. My current rate is $185 for 45-50 minute therapy session. This rate applies to children, teens, and young adults receiving virtual therapy in New York.
I know that therapy is an emotional and financial commitment. If you have questions about cost or how out-of-network reimbursement works, I’m always happy to help you understand what to expect.
As a reminder “private pay” allows you to have full autonomy over your therapy.
Insurance
I am an out-of-network provider, which means I do not bill insurance directly. However, many families are able to use their out-of-network benefits and receive partial reimbursement for therapy sessions.
If you’d like to use your benefits, I can provide a monthly superbill that you can submit to your insurance company. Many PPO plans reimburse a percentage of the session cost once your deductible is met.
How to Check Your Out-of-Network Benefits
When speaking with your insurance company, you can ask:
Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
What percentage do you reimburse for outpatient mental-health sessions?
Is there an out-of-network deductible?
How do I submit a superbill for reimbursement?
Do you cover virtual therapy (telehealth) for New York providers?
These questions will give you a clear sense of what reimbursement may look like.
The No Surprises Act
Under the No Surprises Act, you are entitled to a Good Faith Estimate that outlines the expected cost of your care. You will receive this estimate to your electronic medical record profile before starting therapy or anytime you request one.
Payment
Payment is collected at the time of service. Visa, Mastercard, Zelle, and debit cards are accepted, and your card is securely stored on file. HSA and FSA cards are also accepted. It is never charged without your consent.
Any Questions?
Finances can feel confusing, especially when insurance language isn’t clear. If you have any questions about rates, reimbursement, or how out-of-network therapy works, I’m here to help.
